【作家メッセージ】
 ⾝近にある草花の美しい形、風になびく優しい姿、⼩さな野草にも感じる
たくましい ⽣命⼒、そんな植物のイメージを模様にして器に描いています。
 ⼯芸を仕事にしようとした時に最初に出会ったのが粘⼟でした。
 ⼿で触ったとおりに形を変える。その表情や質感に魅かれて今まで続けて
います。
 伝統の技法を基にしていますが、まったく異なる分野からも刺激を受け
て、⾃分らしい表現を求めて制作しています。
⽇常に使うものを、⼿に取って選んで、楽しむことは、⾃⾝の暮らしを創
る⼀部だと思います。
 私の作る作品が使われて、誰かと繋がっていければ幸です。

【Message from the artist】
The patterns I paint on my ceramics are inspired by the beauty of familiar plants and flowers—the elegance of their forms swaying in the wind, and the quiet strength I sense even in the smallest wild grasses.
When I first set out to pursue a career in crafts, clay was the first material I encountered.
I was captivated by how it responds directly to the touch—how its shape, texture, and expression shift beneath my hands. That fascination has stayed with me ever since.
While my work is grounded in traditional techniques, I also draw inspiration from entirely different fields, always searching for a mode of expression that feels authentic to me.
I believe that choosing and enjoying handmade objects is a way of shaping one’s own lifestyle.
If my work connects people and becomes part of someone’s everyday life, I couldn’t ask for more.

1979年 京都市⽴芸術⼤学陶磁器科卒業
1987年 奈良 安堵町に富雄窯築窯
1987~2014 富本憲吉記念館陶芸研究所講師
