\nMy journey into woodworking began with a simple desire: to make furniture for my own daily life.
\nFrom the start, I found joy not only in creating, but also in using what I made. Over the past 30 years, I\u2019ve continued to work with solid wood, crafting everything from furniture that brings comfort and warmth to everyday spaces, to smaller items such as utensils, accessories, and interior goods.
\nSince 2006, I\u2019ve also been making classical guitars that resonate with soothing, heartfelt tones.
\nI primarily work with hardwoods such as zelkova, maple, oak, ash, and cherry.
\nMy techniques include traditional Japanese joinery (sashimono), carving (kurimono), bending (magarimono), turning on a lathe, wood inlay (yosegi and z\u014dgan), kumiko latticework, and box-making.
\nThrough these methods, I handcraft pieces designed to bring beauty, functionality, and a sense of closeness to people\u2019s lives.<\/p>\n
