\u3010Artist’s Message\u3011
\nI have been engaged in woodworking for 17 years.
\nAfter purchasing large woodworking machines, what started as a hobby gradually evolved, expanding the types of items I could make and the areas where I could exhibit my work.
\nHowever, one thing I have consistently focused on from the beginning is safety. This includes not only the methods used to make items like chairs but also the adhesives and finishing oils I choose, all selected with safety as a top priority.
\nRecently, I have been particularly focused on creating items that are easy for older people to use, a consideration that becomes increasingly important as I get older myself. For example, I design chairs to be lightweight and easy to move, and to fit the proportions of the average Japanese body.
\nAdditionally, I strive to incorporate the natural qualities of wood into my designs. This is both the most challenging and enjoyable aspect of my work. I hope to leverage the craftsmanship of each piece to carefully highlight the natural beauty and uniqueness of the wood.<\/p>\n
