\u3010Message from the artist\u3011
\nI use inlay (a traditional decorative technique in crafts such as ceramics, metalwork, and woodworking where the base material is carved, and other materials or different colors are embedded into the carved areas) on ceramic pieces. In my case, when the molded clay is leather-hard, I create recessed patterns of lines and surfaces on the piece using techniques such as impressing and carving. Then, I fill these recesses with slips of a different color and scrape off the excess to create inlaid designs.
\nWhile this process is very labor-intensive, it allows me to create pieces with vivid, colorful patterns that stand out. I strive to create works that enhance the beauty of food, drinks, flowers, and more, while adding unique inlay decorations that make them easy to use and enrich one’s spirit.
\nI aim to create pieces that resonate with the heart, imbued with my own thoughts and feelings. Alongside my tableware, I will also exhibit pendants combining inlay with braided cords.<\/p>\n
